WELCOME TO THE TEAM.
You’ve been accepted into GO FOR WARDROBE - this is a space reserved for our approved crew only.
This is where you’ll find everything you need to know: how we work, and how to prepare for your gigs. We take great pride in providing the highest standard of Wardrobe Professionals in the industry and we expect the best from you.
LOCAL GIGS FIRST.
If you’ve applied for a gig we’ll always check to see how far you live from it, so always keep your Liveforce profile updated with your home location. Have other bases you often work from? We know many people take the opportunity to visit family and friends and make it a working holiday - if this is you be sure to add the locations of your other bases in the Bases Other Than Home box on your Liveforce profile. This makes it easier to match you to potential work. GO FOR WARDROBE does not pay travel or accommodation expenses unless pre arranged and only in specific circumstances. Update Liveforce here.
LAST MINUTE JOBS.
Not every gig will appear on Liveforce — we move fast, and sometimes it’s direct. You will never see 100% of the gigs we are working with but we promise you we are working incredibly hard to match the right people to the right jobs.
APPLYING FOR GIGS.
Jobs are released through Liveforce, and you’ll receive an email notification when one is available. Check regularly to ensure these emails are reaching your inbox not your junk. Download the Liveforce app to get Push Notifications as well. You can apply either by clicking the link in the email or by logging directly into Liveforce. Applications come straight to us — if we believe the job is a good match for you, we’ll accept you and you’ll be notified by email. We aim to confirm as quickly as possible, but during busy periods it may take a few hours. Once confirmed, you’ll receive a Gig Offer. For advance bookings this may arrive the following day, for last-minute work it could be immediate. Sign it ASAP and join the Whatsapp group using the QR code.
GIG OFFERS.
Your Gig Offer is your agreement with us as a Freelance Contractor. It will include all key information about the job — timings, addresses, and agreed rates — as well as the details you need to include on your invoice. Invoices missing required information will be rejected and you will be asked to resubmit with all of the relevant information we need. Each Gig Offer also contains a QR code giving you access to the WhatsApp group for that job. You can scan this with your phone camera, or if you are viewing it on your phone press and hold the QR code and the link will open. On some projects you may also be asked to sign an additional Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US.
LOYALTY MATTERS.
If you are loyal to us, if you work hard, we will endeavour to use you again. If your ultimate aim is to move into touring gigs, visa restrictions require you to be with us for an extended period of time before you can be considered.
NO CHASING.
Work may not come straight away — we have hundreds of crew. No need to email chasing jobs, it clogs the system.
PAPERWORK HANDLED.
We’ll sort production paperwork. You just send your invoice to invoices@goforwardrobe.com as soon as the gig ends. Multiple days can go on one invoice. Don’t know what to put on an invoice? click here
PAYMENT ON TIME.
We always pay within 30 days — even if the production hasn’t yet paid us. GO FOR WARDROBE will always cover the payment so you get paid on time.
Remember you are here with GO FOR WARDROBE because you are the best at what you do - and we expect the best from you. Be professional. Be friendly. Be respectful. Look out for one another - we work as team at all times.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU.
STAY READY.
Keep your Liveforce profile current. Not sure if yours is? click here
PARKING IS RARE.
The majority of venues DO NOT have parking. You are expected to get a lift/ public transport/ google the nearest parking.
BRING YOUR KIT.
You should arrive on set with a kit appropriate for the job. See below for Kit lists. Machines should be on wheels. If you need low cost trolleys - try looking up 'festival trolleys’ or 'hand trucks’ on Amazon.
BE PROFESSIONAL ALWAYS.
You’ll be entering a fast paced and dynamic environment, where people may be functioning on little sleep. This means your mindset will be challenged. Please stay calm and polite at all times. Live events are fast-moving and sometimes unpredictable, and you’ll be working with a wide mix of personalities. The best crew know how to stay calm, adapt quickly, and communicate well — even when things get hectic. We do expect fair treatment for our crew at all times. If this is not the case let us know.
DRESS THE PART.
You are expected to wear appropriate Black clothing and footwear for a professional backstage crew member. Comfortable, easy to move in, and flat, closed toe, sensible footwear - no heels, sandals etc. You might be required to run up and down stairs or ladders, and you will be on your feet all day. You are representing GO FOR WARDROBE at all times and should look professional.
STAY CALM IN CHAOS.
Live events are unpredictable. Problems can arise on every job. Our work is precarious and always last minute. Your skills can be challenged. Stay sharp and focused. Be flexible. Always raise the flag early if a job won’t be completed in the time allotted. Remember, timing is key.

BE FLEXIBLE.

Try not to take this personally. It’s just the nature of fast moving gigs. You will still get paid. You should not be on your phone even during downtime. NO POSTING IMAGES OF ANYTHING SHOW RELATED TO SOCIAL MEDIA AT ANY TIME - even after the event.
DAILY SIGN OFF.
If the gig might run later than expected, we try to tell you this beforehand. If you are asked by the Wardrobe department or Stylists to stay later than your call tell us in the Whatsapp group so we can sign it off. Always let us know when you have finished for the day via the Whatsapp group for your gig. We require a daily record of your total hours worked, especially if you work beyond your scheduled time, and we need this AT THE END OF EVERY DAY WORKED.
